How to react to parents to school estimates?
Assessment of knowledge of pupils — the control device behind daily work of the school student and an incentive to the doctrine.
Marks are put down at lessons and also at the end of a quarter, academic year and at examinations. Oral answers, written, graphic control and practical works of pupils, work in workshops and on the school site are estimated. At exposure of assessment the volume and depth of knowledge, ability to apply knowledge in study and in practice, quantity and character of the made mistakes is considered.
3a achievements in the doctrine, for a good mark of the child is possible and it is necessary to praise. But it is impossible to assume that the good mark caused complacency and conceit in the school student. Especially fight for estimates for the sake of estimates is inadmissible. Noting progress of the son or daughter, parents have to discuss efficiently together with the child what can be made in order that the doctrine went even better.
Efficiently it is necessary to react also to a bad note: not to scold the child for failure, and to help it to meet a lack in knowledge. Systematically watching
what estimates are received by the school student, parents can influence not only his progress in studying of fundamentals of sciences, but also the relation to school, a class, teachers.
